Old Rip Van Winkle Family Selection 1986 23 Year Old Bourbon Decanter Set // Stitzel-Weller
One of the most limited and sought after bottlings of bourbon ever produced. This highly rare expression was distilled in 1986 from a special selection of barrels sourced from the closed Stitze-Weller distillery. These casks were stored on the lower racks of the warehouse, allowing for gentle maturation over the much longer than average 23 years for a bourbon. This is the only time a 23 year old expression of Van Winkle bourbon has been bottled above the standard 95.6 proof. Instead it was bottled un-chill filtered and at the original barrel entry proof of 114, a historical number for the Stitzel-Weller distillery. This set is presented in a Glencairn crystal decanter with two custom glasses, along with a replacement stopper. Just 1200 sets of this rare bourbon were produced and are very rarely seen at public auction. The buyer's premium is 10% of the final hammer price (inc GST).
Our flat rate shipping across the country starts at $14 for 1 bottles, $20 for 2 and slightly increases from there.

Do You Offer Insurance for Loss/Breakage?
The cost of Loss & Breakage Insurance is 1.5% of the hammer price plus commission. This is highly recommended as we will take the upmost care in packaging the dispatching orders carefully and securely, the courier companies will however not take on any liability for items lost or broken in transit.
How Long Until Delivery?
